Are you a stakeholder in the climate change adaptation area? Are you interested to know more about data spaces and their role in digital transformation, and how you can contribute to the Green Deal Data Space?
The GREAT | Green Deal Data Space project is eager to invite you to the first Stakeholder Forum focusing on Climate Change Adaptation, which will take place on the 16th of November at 14:00 CET on Zoom.
In GREAT we focus on three strategic policy areas: biodiversity, zero pollution, and climate adaptation. Climate adaptation encompasses many different domains and approaches that must be informed by robust data and risk assessment tools. To achieve these goals, the EU Climate Adaptation Strategy seeks to gather more and better data on climate-related risk and loss. However, the data required to meet the goals of the strategy is extensive, and there are many methodological challenges given the high variability of data from year to year, and the incompleteness and uneven quality of the available data.
Addressing these difficulties will require a collaborative effort between member states, researchers, the private sector, and NGOs. The Climate Adaptation Stakeholder Forum will try to further address existing challenges, as the Green Deal Data Space can act as a critical enabler to collect, integrate, and disseminate data for adaptation, and support EU Green Deal objectives in creating systemic climate adaptation actions.
